St Mary’s Catholic School came into the CLC to learn the techniques of Stop-Motion Animation. Although young, these animators were amongst some of the best we have seen for a while in the CLC.
The day was broken into two parts. Jenny Hulme delivered the iStopMotion tutorial in the morning with Phil Gregory delivering the iMovie tutorial in the afternoon.
The morning session showed the children the iStopMotion program and how to use their models , sets, cameras and Mac Powerbooks to create a short, silent claymation film.
The afternoon session taught the children how to import the raw animation into iMovie where titles, effects and soundtracks were added.
At the end of the workshop we were very impressed with the quality of movies produced.
See what you think.
