Steve Beard from Shropshire County Council came in to deliver training to Education advisers from WMnet.
Second Life is an amazing 3d world where users create an avatar of themselves and can walk around or even fly.
Steve showed the advisers how to get started in Second LifeL and how to build simple objects.
Since the training we have begun work on building a “Virtual CLC”.
It is hoped that we can use SL within the classroom environment…students can watch videos, listen to audio, explore the area and complete tasks all within this exciting and engaging 3D world.
